Result : Skidmarks 2 - 6 Euro Utd

Yes you are reading right....a second defeat of the season for the might mighty Skidmarks!

Not for many a year has the world witnessed the Skidmarks losing 2 games in a season, but due to injuries, laziness, sickness and academicaness...(studying) , we were forced to field a team more inexperienced than Theo Walcott.

The team was as follows :
1) Brendan "B Dogg" McNiven
2) Peri www.mtnsp.co.za Zourides
3) Mike "nothing to mock him about" Lyndon
4) Dom "The Bulldozer" Albrecht
5) Darryl "The Breaker" (DEBUT)
6) Jason "Left Foot" (DEBUT)
7) Gregg "Can't think of anything" (DEBUT)

So we got off to a bad start and were 2-0 down in no time which soon became 4-0 at half time will us barely offering a shot at goal apart from Dom's pearler of a free kcik which was saved well by the keeper. Second half we started playing a little bit better as the okes got to know each other but we still conceded another goal before Dom pressured the goalkeeper on the wall forcing a mistake which allowed him to tap into the empty net. We looked the better team for about 15 seconds after that but Euro responded with a quickfire goal to make the score 6-1. Then a moment of brilliance from B Dogg who - with the Euro goalkeeper out fo his goals - hurled a huge throw into Jasons pass who managed to volley into the empty net under pressure from the despairing defender. That was how it stayed for the rest of the game.

Luckily we are not really challenging for the title this year so this game did not matter so much. However i am sure we would not want to lose next week or we could see our worst league position in a while of 4th or 5th.

Its OK tho, we are playing a bunch of idiot....Village Idiots to be exact.....not the easiest team to finish off the season to but still! So play of the day is tied between B Dogg for his awesome throwout and Darryl for his crunching wall tackle which the game had been crying out for.....the opposition fell to the floor like Drogba when he actually gets fouled, it was a foul the Ninja would have been proud of!
